Free* for income-qualified customers, the Home Weatherization Program can help you improve your home's energy efficiency and reduce your energy bills all year long without sacrificing comfort.

How it Works

During a free* energy assessment of your home, a Building Performance Institute (BPI)-certified contractor will identify improvements that can help make your home more energy efficient and lower your energy bills, including:

Insulation

Air and duct sealing

Other energy-saving measures

New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) Incentive

Receive up to $6,000* in free weatherization measures.

You may qualify if...

You are an NJNG residential heating customer (i.e. homeowner or renter) whose primary residence is a single- or in a multi-family dwelling.

You have owned your home for a minimum of one year (Homes 0-5 years old or under a builder’s warranty are excluded.)

You meet the 2024 Income Qualifications based on the chart below.

*Terms and conditions apply. You must be a NJNG residential heating customer whose primary residence is a single- or in a multi-family dwelling with up to three units. You must own your home for a minimum of one year. Homes 0-5 years old or under a builder’s warranty are excluded. If you’re a renter, the home must be located in an approved census tract and obtain consent from your landlord. Both renters and homeowners must meet the income guidelines.
