Residential Multifamily Buildings

If your multifamily building is serviced by NJNG, you can take advantage of the Multifamily Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® to save on energy bills and enhance comfort.
Receive a whole-building energy audit by an NJNG program participating contractor followed by energy-saving measures and a list of participating contractors that make saving easy.
Up to $1,500* in rebates per unit.
Up to $2,000 financing per unit with our 0%* On-Bill Repayment Program (OBRP).

*Terms and conditions apply. Only available to property owners of multifamily buildings serviced by NJNG that are three stories or less. All offers are subject to available funding. Maximum OBRP 0% APR financing is $2,000 per unit up to $250,000. Loans are net of NJNG rebates. The rebate amount per unit is calculated based on the estimated total energy saved (TES); TES is the amount of British Thermal Units (BTU) saved compared to the total BTUs consumed by the building, which is calculated using energy modeling software. To qualify for the minimum rebate of $375 per unit, the building must have a TES of 5%. After 5%, an extra $75 for each additional TES percentage. The maximum rebate per unit is $1,500. NJNG reserves the right, with approval of the State of New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, to terminate, modify, suspend, or extend this rebate program. NJNG rebates and incentives do not apply to new construction. Offer applies to qualifying equipment purchased and installed by December 31, 2024. Rebate applications must be postmarked within 120 days of equipment purchase date. Customer must submit a paid receipt and proof of permit with NJNG application.

NJNG project grants vary based on cost effectiveness at the project level compared to energy savings. Max project grant is 60% of project. Eligible NJNG commercial customers may be eligible for OBRP 0% APR financing on remaining project balance. Terms and conditions apply. All offers are subject to available funding.
