A Whole Home Energy Assessment is a free* home energy analysis for NJNG customers. During this walk-through assessment, one of our certified auditors will identify ways to help reduce your home's energy costs by up to 20%† and install complimentary* energy-saving products to help you get started. This assessment does not include the installation of a smart thermostat you may have purchased on the NJNG Marketplace.
During our visit, we'll evaluate your:
HVAC and water heating equipment
Insulation and ductwork in your attic and/or basement
Lighting fixtures and bulbs
Whole Home Energy Assessment Plus
For a limited time, spend $1* (normally $49) and get all the benefits of our base Whole Home Energy Assessment along with a blower door test that will uncover hidden areas where heated or cooled air is escaping from your home. Additionally, when you purchase a smart thermostat from the NJNG Marketplace, we'll install it for free* during your Whole Home Energy Assessment Plus. Following your Whole Home Energy Assessment Plus, you'll receive a detailed report that includes outlined recommendations and resources to help you proceed; and you can obtain competitive bids from independent contractors.

For $49*, an NJNG auditor will install up to two smart thermostats when purchased on the NJNG Marketplace and review your previous home energy assessment report, providing information on recommendations and available energy-efficiency program incentives.
